In pursuance of Circular No. 15/GEN/HOME, dated 03.11.2025, issued by the Home Department, Tashiling Secretariat, Government of Sikkim, on observing ‘Traditional-Wear Work Day’ every Thursday, all officers and staff members of the Gangtok Municipal Corporation were present in their traditional attire, showcasing the rich cultural diversity and heritage of our state.
Further, Ms. Priyanka Manger, Office Attendant, and Mr. Jigmee Bhutia, Office Attendant, in the women’s and men’s categories respectively, were awarded with the title of ‘Best Traditional Attire’ and were acknowledged in the presence of the Hon’ble Mayor, Shri Nell Bahadur Chettri; Hon’ble Deputy Mayor, Smt. Tshering Palden Bhutia, Hon’ble Advisor, Shri Suresh Kumar Cintury, and Hon’ble Councillors, by the Municipal Commissioner, Shri Gayden Chopel.
Also present on the occasion were the Joint Municipal Commissioner, Joint Chief Architect, other senior officials, and all staff members of the Corporation.
