Preparatory Meeting Held for the Upcoming 7-Day Shrimadh Bhagwat Mahapuran, Vaani & Yoga Shivir at Sriman Pranami Mandir, Manglee, Yangang.
Namchi, 5 November: A preparatory meeting for the Saptahik Sangeetamay Shrimadh Bhagwat Mahapuran Gyanyanya, Vaani tatha Yog Shivir, scheduled to be held from 25 December to 31 December 2025 at Shri Pranami Mandir, Manglee, Yangang was held today. The meeting was chaired by Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker, and attended by Shri Bikash Basnet, Political Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri R.K. Basnet, Chairman, IFFCO, Shri C.L. Gurung, Advisor, Food Processing Department, Smt. Denkila Bhutia, OSD to HMLA, Shri Tangayla Namkha, CLC President, Smt. Needay Bhutia, BDO Yangang, Shri Dipak Bhattarai, Government Contractor, Shri Tshering Topden Bhutia, District Youth Convenor, and Shri Padam Gurung, CLC Advisor. Also present during the meeting were Zilla Panchayats Smt. Leela Rai and Smt. Pem Doma Tamang, Panchayat President Smt. Krishna Prada Rai and Panchayat member Shri Gambhir Singh Chettri. The meeting unanimously decided to held Mahapuran in grand manner in a constituency level covering entire 15-Rangang Yangang constituency.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address delivered by Shri Hom Nath Pokhrel, followed by the agenda presentation by Shri Gopi Das Pokhrel. A detailed briefing on the event outline, work divisions and organisational preparations was shared by Shri Durga Prasad Basnet, who highlighted responsibilities related to venue management, accommodation and hospitality for visiting devotees, cultural and devotional arrangements, cleanliness and prasad distribution, and coordination among volunteers and organising committees.
In her address, Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa stated that this programme is not merely a Mahapuran, but a meaningful spiritual and social endeavour that includes motivational talks, a free eye check-up camp, daily yoga sessions and various welfare initiatives of the Government. She stressed on the importance of positivity, harmony and collective participation to ensure the success of the event. She further emphasised on strong coordination among all stakeholders, local bodies and community members throughout the preparatory and execution phases.
During the meeting, the dignitaries further underlined the importance of the Bhagwat Mahapuran in fostering spiritual growth, social unity, cultural revival and community values. The organising committee appealed for collective support from local residents, social organisations, youth and women groups, and volunteers to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the programme. The seven-day Mahapuran Shivir is expected to witness significant participation from devotees across the region.
