DDMA Conducts Bi-monthly inspection at Shiga Energy Pvt. Ltd., Tashiding, Gyalshing district.
Gyalshing,November 5:A team from the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), along with the line departments under Gyalshing District, visited the SHIGA Energy Pvt. Ltd (Tashiding Hydro Electric Project, Kabirthang, Yangthey) as a part of the Bi-monthly inspection of the Hydro-project under Gyalshing District,today.                                  
The team was led by Mr Amrit Basnet,Training Officer (TO), DDMA, Gyalshing District along with the officials from line departments which includes DE (Electrical)Power Department, JE (Electrical)Power Department, JE Water Resource Department, SFO, Sikkim Fire and Emergency Service, ASI, Police Department, Gyalshing Police Station, LNK/F, Sikkim Fire and Emergency Service, District Management Coordinator (DMC) and District Management Supervisor (DMS) from DDMA, Gyalshing District.              
As per the Disaster Management team's instructions, regular mock drills will be conducted to enhance preparedness and awareness among personnel in the area. Additionally, adequate warning sign boards and glow signboards have been displayed at the dam site.
The Plant Head has been directed to ensure the link road to the barrage site as it was found cut off during monsoon period.  
The visit was successful due to the cooperation from all sides, as the team inspected the sites thoroughly and found the outcome satisfactory.
