Namchi, 4 November: The AYUSH Department, District Hospital Namchi, organized an awareness program on Ayurvidya Mental Health at Government Primary School, Purano Namchi, focusing on addressing mental health concerns among students,teachers,staff and Parents.
Dr. Neelima Thatal and Dr. Kavita Thapa served as resource persons and led insightful sessions on key mental health topics. They shared valuable information on understanding mental health, dispelling myths, recognizing early signs and symptoms, and promoting preventive strategies through self-care practices such as yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises.
The 24×7 Tele-MANAS helpline number was also highlighted to encourage students to seek confidential mental health support whenever needed.
The program concluded with interactive activities, including games, a quiz competition,with prize and IEC distribution, engaging students and reinforcing the importance of mental wellness and holistic well-being.
