AYUSH Outreach Health Camp Held at Sakya Noor monastery, Rongyek, Gangtok
Gangtok, November 4, 2025: An AYUSH Outreach Health Camp was successfully held today at Sakya Noor monastery Rongyek , Gangtok. The camp was organized by the 10 Bedded AYUSH Hospital, Sochakgang, under the Department of AYUSH, Government of Sikkim, as part of its ongoing initiative to promote holistic health and wellness among rural communities.
During the camp, AYUSH doctors provided free health consultations, blood pressure checks, and basic laboratory tests including haemoglobin and random blood sugar screening. Participants also received guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, and preventive healthcare practices.
AYUSH medicines and IEC materials on nutritional diet, healthy living, yoga were distributed to the beneficiaries. The camp witnessed an enthusiastic response, with 62 community members availing themselves of the services.
Such outreach programs play a vital role in strengthening preventive healthcare and spreading awareness about the benefits of AYUSH systems of medicine among the public.
