The training-cum-workshop, conducted under the guidance of Dr Sandeep Tambe, IFS, Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Department, aimed to enhance digital proficiency among government officials and promote the effective utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). The programme provided participants with practical exposure to cutting-edge AI platforms, demonstrating their applications in communication, content creation, research, data analysis, drafting project proposals, official noting, press releases, speeches, and office automation.
The session was facilitated by Assistant Scientific Officer and Master Resource Person, Dr Prativa Rai, along with Technical Resource Persons – Mr Niraj Sharma, Mr Kishore Sharma, and Mr Ujal Gautam. In addition, the participants were familiarised with several AI tools designed specifically for DPR preparation, presentation making, content generation, summarisation, data analysis, and visual representation, including Gamma AI, PoP AI, Napkin AI, Julius AI and Canva AI.
Following the technical sessions, a hands-on practical exercise was conducted, during which participants developed and presented DPRs using the AI tools introduced during the training. The exercise enabled them to create structured, data-driven, and well-formatted project proposals. A live demonstration on step-by-step DPR generation using AI tools was also organised, followed by a peer review session where participants exchanged drafts, provided feedback, and refined their DPRs for improved clarity and effectiveness.
The training programme was attended by ADC (Headquarters), Mr Tshering Norgyal Theeng, and ADC (Development), Mr Sisum Wangchuk Bhutia, who commended the initiative and encouraged participants to adopt AI-driven approaches in administrative processes for improved governance and efficiency.
