Sikkim Boxers Set to Participate in the 69th National School Games Federation 2025 at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh
The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Sikkim, is pleased to announce that a team of 13 young boxers, including 3 girls and 10 boys, from various schools across all six districts of Sikkim, has been selected to represent the state in the 69th National School Games 2025 (U-17 Boxing) to be held at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, from 28th October to 3rd November 2025. The team will be accompanied by two coaches and one manager to guide and support the players throughout the tournament.
This proud achievement has been made possible with the support, encouragement, and guidance of Shri Rinzing Wangyal Chophel, Chairperson of the State Sports Development Board, Sikkim, along with the dedicated leadership of Madam Yanchen Doma Tamang, Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Shri R. B. Biswakarma, Additional Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Joint Director Jigmee.Y.Lepcha and the committed efforts of all officials and coaches.
In addition, five officials from Sikkim have been nominated to officiate and represent the state during the tournament, reflecting Sikkim’s growing contribution and recognition at the national level.
The Department extends its best wishes to all the participating boxers, coaches, manager, and officials for their active participation and success in the championship. Their performance will not only showcase the talent of Sikkim’s youth but also bring pride and inspiration to the entire state.
