“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Plantation Drive
Pakyong, October 18: The Block Education Office, Pakyong, organised “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” plantation drive at Kaputhang Primary School. The initiative was held under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, whose inspiring call to stay connected to the Earth continues to motivate citizens toward environmental responsibility.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mr. H. N. Shenga, Deputy Director and with the dedicated support of Mr. Nayan Yonzon, Headmaster & Staff of Kaputhang Primary School.
During the event, participants enthusiastically planted a variety of saplings, including Indian Gooseberry plant,Guava, Orange, and several ornamental plants within the school premises. The activity aimed to nurture environmental awareness among students while promoting the noble message of honoring mothers through tree plantation — symbolizing love, care, and growth.
Teachers, students, participated in the drive, turning it into a collective endeavor to create a greener, healthier environment.
