2025 in National Nutrition in Rabang Rural Project completed grandly.
Various awareness programs concluded along with the slogan "Sahi Nutrition Desh Roshan"
Rabang (Namchi District), 16 October.
A special program was grandly completed today at Rabang Rural Project under “8th National Nutrition in 2025” organized by Women, Children, Senior Citizens and Disabilities Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim.
On the main themes of the program
(1) Solution to obesity: Reduce the use of sugar and oil,
(2) Early Childhood Care and Education (Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi),
(3) Nutrition-related behaviour of infants and small children (IYCF),
(4) Men's Participation (Men-Streaming),
(5) A tree in the name of mother
(6) Be Vocal for Local (Vocal for Local) — were included.
The program is organized in the context of National Nutrition, which is being celebrated nationwide from 17 September to 16 October.
Chief guest of today's program is Rabang section development officer Mr. B. B. Tamang stayed. S of Rabang as special guest. D. P. Awww. A of education department. D. There was special presence of Panchayat Inspector, SWI, BPM (SRLM), Doctor (M.O.), Tax Book Officer, ICDS Officer Team, as well as SHG Members, AWW, DWH, PFOJ, Supervisor and Block Coordinators.
The program was started by lighting the lamp with the arm of the chief guest. Then Ms. Indira, Supervisor of Zone-2 and Ben Zone, warmly welcomed all visitors and highlighted the purpose and importance of Nutrition Month.
Cultural programs, poetry reading, drama and conscious presentations presented by local mother group members in the program added more attraction to the program. These performances vividly reflected the slogan “Right Nutrition Country Light”.
At the end of the program, Supervisor Ms. Chhiring announced that the program was successfully completed thanking all the participants, officers, guests and assistant bodies.
At the occasion speakers gave special emphasis on adoption of a healthy lifestyle, the role of parents in equipable nutrition of children, and the need of active participation of men.
Overall, today's program on Nutrition of Rabang Rural Project has given a remarkable message about raising awareness about health, education and nutrition in the community.
