Chongrang Block organises impactful Activities under Adi Sewa Parv
Gyalshing,October 4:Under the banner of the Adi Sewa Parv, a series of impactful activities have been organised across the block, drawing active participation from Panchayat representatives, officials from line departments, youth groups, and community members.
The Parv, aligned with the objectives of the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, is aimed at fostering last-mile governance, service delivery, and community empowerment in tribal areas.
So far, the following key activities have been conducted:
1. Block Process Lab: 42 Officials from 12 different departments were processed as Adi Kamayogis and Adi Sahayogis. Youth leaders and Tribal leaders also took active part in it.
2. Youth and SHG Engagement: Adi Saathis, youth leaders, and women’s groups actively mobilised villagers and demonstrated their crucial role in community-led development.
3. Village Development Planning (PRA exercises): Participatory Rural Appraisal activities were undertaken to identify community priorities for inclusion in the Village Action Plans.
4. Village workshops: Adi Kamayogis, Adi Sahayogi and Adi Sathis gathered to discuss the Strength, weakness, opportunities and challenges of their Tribal Village and also create awareness on Adi Kamayogi Abhiyan.
5. Gram Sabha Awareness Sessions: Special meetings were held in Gram Panchayats to sensitize villagers about the vision of Aadi Sewa Parv and their role in participatory governance. Speaking on the occasion, BDO Chongrang emphasised that the Adi Sewa Parv is not just a programme but a people’s movement, meant to bridge gaps between governance and citizens while strengthening trust in public institutions.
6. Opening of Adi Sewa Kendra: Grievances readressal cell were established at GPKs for fostering last mile services to the Tribal villagers.
The activities will continue in the coming weeks, with a special focus on village-level workshops and convergence meetings, ensuring that both individual and community demands are addressed systematically.
