Soreng, September 25: The Cooperation Department, Soreng, organised a cleanliness drive today at PHC Soreng under the Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign 2025. More than 50 officials and staff of the department actively took part in the programme.
The drive was led by Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies Mr PD Bhutia, who also delivered a welcome speech. Dr Avishek Subba addressed the official on the importance of cleanliness in health centres.
As part of the programme, the department handed over two dump-cart trolleys to the UDHD and also distributed blankets to its staff as a token of appreciation.
In addition, cash prizes were awarded to the winners of the Rangoli competition:
Lower Timburbong MPCS Ltd – ₹2000 (1st prize)
Malbasey MPCS Ltd – ₹1500 (2nd prize),
Soreng MPCS Ltd – ₹1000 (3rd prize).
The event reflected the department’s commitment to promoting cleanliness, community participation, and awareness on hygiene and sanitation.
