Namchi, 20 September: Centre for Computers and Communication Technology (CCCT), Chisopani, successfully hosted its annual three-day fest UTKARSH 2025 from 18th to 20th September 2025, under the theme “Incredible Sikkim – 50 Years of Statehood & 25 Years of CCCT.
The celebration showcased cultural vibrancy, technical innovation, and academic excellence, marking the institute’s Silver Jubilee and the golden journey of Sikkim’s statehood.
Day 1 – 18th September 2025
The fest was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Satish Chandra Rai, MLA, Singithang, Namchi & Advisor, Denzong Cooperative Society, in the presence of distinguished guests including Shri Bishnu Prasad Sharma (APS Namchi), Shri Simon Rai (Chairman, R&B), Shri Yogen Syangdan (SDM Jorethang), Shri Bishnu Kant Sharma (Principal, Nandugaon), and Shri Tashi Tamang (President, CLC). Events like Alekhana (Poster Presentation), Rangmaya (Rangoli), Goonj (Open Mic), Jugalgoong (Duet Singing), and the Battle of the Bands added excitement to the day.
Day 2 – 19th September 2025
Second day was graced in the morning by Shri Jacob Khaling, Political Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, and in the evening by Hon’ble Shri Madan Cintury, MLA, Salghari-Zoom Constituency. A new Badminton Hall was inaugurated by Shri Khaling, followed by an exhibition matches and discussions on future tournaments. The day also featured student events such as Shark Tank CCCT, Face Painting, Poetry Slam, Photography, Gaming Tournament, and cultural performances, concluding with a Fashion Show and guest band performance.
Day 3 – 20th September 2025
Valedictory session was graced by Hon’ble Raj Kumari Thapa, Deputy Speaker & MLA, Rangang-Yangang Constituency, alongside Guest of Honour Shri Sonam Palzor Bhutia, OSD, Education Department, Panchayat members of Chisopani, Prof. (Dr.) B.B. Pradhan (Director Cum Principal), Shri O.B. Chetri (Additional Chief Engineer, SNT, Jorethang), Shri D.N. Sherpa (Senior VP, West Sikkim), Shri Arjun Sharma and Shri Dadul Bhutia (ATTC Representatives). Highlights included the felicitation of long-serving faculty and staff, recognition of student achievers, and the release of the special 25th-year edition of the college magazine – TECHEDGE-25.
UTKARSH 2025 was a grand success, bringing together dignitaries, alumni, faculty, and students, and will be remembered as a landmark celebration in the history of CCCT.
