Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan: '17th September – 2nd October 2025'
Mangan, Sept 17: The launching programme of “Swasth Nari Sashakta Parivar Abhiyan” was held on 17th September 2025 organised by Department of Ayush, Government of Sikkim (Ayush Department, District Hospital Mangan) in collaboration with NCD team of District Hospital Mangan.
The programme commenced from Conference hall District Hospital Mangan where many dignitaries were present namely Mrs Pemkit Lepcha (President of Mangan Nagar Panchayat), CMO Dr Tempo T Kaleon and Staff of district hospital Mangan where participants were briefed about the programme and importance of Women health. The message - healthy mother, healthy childhood leads to healthy state and strong nation was reiterated during the programme.
The programme continued with Haemoglobin Testing, Random blood sugar testing and blood pressure monitoring along with Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Sowa Rigpa OPD.
Free awareness about ovarian and uterine cancer were given to women and free IEC materials were supplied to all the participants present.
Free medicines were also distributed to all the beneficiaries present.
A total of 124 beneficiaries took advantage of the programme.
The programme was attended by Nutrition Inspector, Supervisior, ICDS teachers, Anganwadi workers, ASHAs, Medical officers (Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Sowa Rigpa) and NCD nodal officer.
In addition, Anganwadi centres organised stalls showcasing organic food and locally grown vegetables, promoting importance of healthy diets and role of community participation in ensuring sustainable nutrition.
The Programme was fruitful and 124 participants benefited from this Health camp.
Swastha Nari Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan will be observed from 17/9/25-2/10/25.
During this time Ayush outreach camps and Ayurvidya School health camps will be organised in all PHCs and schools.
