The Hon’ble Speaker, Shri Mingma Norbu Sherpa, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker, Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, Sikkim Legislative Assembly accompanied by Secretary, Principal Director, Senior PS to Hon’ble Deputy Speaker and PS to Hon’ble Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly attended the Plenary Session of the 11th CPA India Region Conference on 12th September, 2025 at West End Court of Hotel Taj, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha Shri Om Birla nominated following Presiding Officers as Panel of Chairpersons for 11th CPA India Region Conference, Bengaluru, Karnataka presided over the first day of Plenary Session of the Conference:

It is for the first time that the Speaker of tiny Himalayan State Sikkim, inclusively progressing with new benchmark of excellence under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang, (Golay), has been nominated as Panel of Chairperson to preside the Plenary Session of the CPA India Region Conference.
The Presiding Officers from different State Legislatures and UTs participated during the Plenary Session on the topic “Debates & Discussions in the Houses of Legislature: building people’s trust, meeting people’s aspirations.”
The first day session was adjourned at 6:00 p.m and will resume at 10:00 a.m on 13th September, 2025.
