District Level Team conducts Bi- Monthly inspection of M/s Kundan Hydro Project Pvt. Ltd.(Kalez Khola HEP) at Dentam

District Level Team of Gyalshing District conducted Bi-monthly Inspection at M/s Kundan Hydro Electric Project Pvt. Ltd. (Kalez HEP)at Dentam,today.
The inspection team was led by DPO (DDMA)Gyalshing Mr Ganesh Kumar Rai accompanied by DE (Power)Mr Moses Pradhan,RO/AD (Dentam) Mr Satyam Basnett,RO (Dentam)Mr Pujan Tamang,SFO/SI Mr Passang Tshering Bhutia,JE(Power)Mr Adhishwar Chettri,JE (WRD)Mr Ashish Limboo, ASI(Mukrung PP) Mr Mahendra Pradhan,Disaster Management Coordinator, Mr Martish Rai and Technical Plant Head Mr Hoshiar Singh.
The team inspected the Trench Weir, Desilting Tank, and Power House, evaluating disaster management preparedness, safety infrastructure, and emphasising fire safety measures.
It was instructed to the Kundan officials to undertake necessary repairs, including foothpath and fencing around the Desilting Tank, with a deadline of one month for completion.
Fire and Emergency Services instructed the installation of two additional CO2 fire extinguishers for enhanced safety. The implementation of an Active Fire Fighting system and Fire Detection Machine is underway, with a completion deadline of one month.
The Kundan Hydro Power Project in Dentam, under Gyalshing district has a 5 MW capacity but is currently operating at 3 MW.
The outcome of the inspection was deemed satisfactory.
