Theme : awareness on SHE box Portal and POSH Act – Awareness Program under SANKALP
As part of the ongoing 10-day Special Awareness Campaign under SANKALP – Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mangan District, a program on “she box and posh act was successfully organized on 6th September 2025 at BAC Dzongu, in collaboration with the Dzongu Tribal Project.
The program was graced by Dr. Mahindra Tamang, BDO Dzongu, along with the Panchayat Presidents of Lingdong Berfok GPU and Saffo GPU, SBS Manager, officials from BAC Dzongu, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), and members of the general public.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Wendy Mair Lepcha, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), WCSC&DWD, delivered a powerful session on the POSH Act, 2013, raising awareness on issues of sexual harassment at the workplace.
Further, Ms. Maymit Lepcha, Councillor (Women), sensitized the participants on the POCSO Act, child marriage prevention, and the importance of the Child Helpline 1098 in ensuring child protection.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Deputy Director-cum-CDPO, Dzongu Tribal Project, who acknowledged the collective efforts of all stakeholders in making the program a success.
