Gyalshing District organises District Level Kala Utsav 2025 at PMShri Girls’ SSS Kyongsa
Gyalshing,September 2:Kala Utsav to celebrate the diverse cultural heritage and art of India, involving school children was organised at the district level for Gyalshing District, today, in the auditorium of PMShri Kyongsa Girls’ SSS.
The programme had a huge participation of students in different art categories ranging from singing, dancing and visual arts to theatre and story telling. A total of 96 students from different schools participated in the event.
Kala Utsav is an annual programme initiated by the Ministry of Education, which is organised up to the national level. Selected students have an opportunity to be with the participants from all parts of India, which helps in promoting the mantra of Unity in Diversity.
Chief Education Officer(CEO) Gyalshing Mr PG Bhutia, presided over the function to witness the show of talents by the participants.
Mr Suren Tamling, Mr CL Gurung and Mr Deo Prasad Rai were the judges for music, theatre and visual art respectively.
Selected students in all categories will be groomed for the state level Utsav.
The whole programme was coordinated and conducted by the District Nodal Officer and JD, Education, Mr Rajesh Thapa.
