The Sikkim Aama Shayog Yojana Cheque Distribution Program 2025 concluded successfully today at Rabong Khop GPU in collaboration with the Block Administrative Centre (BAC), Yangang. With the distribution of cheques to the remaining 40 beneficiaries from two GPUs (Rabong Khop and Rankey Sangmoo), all 100 identified beneficiaries under the 15 Rangang–Yangang Constituency have now been covered under Yangang BAC.
Earlier, on 27th August, 60 beneficiaries from four GPUs (Kolthang-Tokday, Neya-Mangzing, Sripatam-Gagyong and Yangang Rangang) had received their cheques at the Yangang Party Office. Today’s distribution at Rabong Khop GPU marked the completion of the program with the remaining beneficiaries successfully provided with their assistance.
The program was graced by the distinguished presence of:
• Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker & Hon’ble MLA of 15 Rangang–Yangang Constituency.
She was accompanied by Shri C.L. Gurung, Advisor, Food Processing Department, Smt. Denkila Bhutia, OSD to Hon’ble Deputy Speaker, Shri DP Dahal (ADC Rabongla), Shri Wangyal Sherpa (SDM Rabongla), Shri BB Tamang (BDO Rabongla), Smt. Needay Bhutia, BDO, Yangang, along with Panchayat Presidents of two GPUs, Panchayat Members, CLC Bodies, Party Karyakartas, and beneficiaries from the GPUs.
The Sikkim Aama Shayog Yojana, a flagship initiative of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), aims at extending financial assistance and social security to mothers from economically weaker households across Sikkim. The support under this scheme is primarily meant for refilling LPG gas cylinders, thereby easing household expenses, promoting clean energy usage, and empowering mothers at the grassroots level.
This initiative reflects the vision and commitment of the Hon’ble Chief Minister towards the welfare and empowerment of mothers.
