Inauguration Ceremony of Traditional Snacks & Confectionery Training and Food Processing Cluster Training conducted at Hyangla Namsha Retreat, Mangbir, Mangalbarey
Soreng, August 28:
The Inauguration Ceremony of Traditional Snacks & Confectionery Training and Food Processing Cluster Training was conducted at Hyangla Namsha Retreat, Mangbir, Mangalbarey under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, organized by the Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, in collaboration with Zhimmey Takeaway, Gangtok.
The program was witnessed by Shri Erastus Lucksom, Additional Political Secretary to the HCM, Soreng District, Smt. Anula Gurung, General Manager, DIC Soreng, DIC Inspectors, Shri Niraj Dong, Panchayat President, Takuthang Chuchen GPU, and Shri Gyurmee Namgyal, President, Mangalbarey Tourism Association.
A total of 40 participants from Takuthang Chuchen GPU, Jhusingthang Parengoan GPU and Kamling Suldung GPU Soreng District have enrolled for this 15-day training program.
This initiative is envisioned to empower local entrepreneurs with practical skills, preserve traditional culinary heritage, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities in the food processing sector.
