With immense pride and pleasure Education Department, Government of Sikkim announces that Mr. Karma Tempo Ethenpa, Principal of PM SHRI Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Mangan, has been selected for the National Teachers’ Award 2025.
Out of 45 distinguished teachers from across India, Mr. Ethenpa is the only recipient from Sikkim this year. He was among the three shortlisted candidates from the State who presented before the Independent National Jury on 12th August 2025 and earned his place among the nation’s finest educators.
The National Teachers’ Award is one of the highest recognitions in the field of school education, conferred upon teachers who have made remarkable contributions in improving the quality of education, fostering innovation in classrooms, and inspiring students to achieve excellence.
Mr. Ethenpa will be felicitated by the Hon’ble President of India on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, 5th September 2025, at a grand ceremony to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The Education Department, Government of Sikkim, extends its heartiest congratulations to Mr. Ethenpa for bringing this prestigious honour to the State and for his dedicated service in nurturing the future generation.
