One-day Free Eye and General Health Camp organized at Temi Tea Garden.

Temi Tea Garden Employees Service Cooperative Society Ltd under Rabong Sub-Division, Namchi District successfully organized a one-day free Eye and General Health Camp with free distribution of medicines on 22nd August 2025 at Temi Tea Garden Tourism Hall.
The event was held to mark the "International Year of Cooperatives -2025 "with the theme "Cooperatives Build a better world".
The Health Camp was organized in collaboration with Greater Lions Club Eye Hospital Siliguri, Namchi District Hospital GOS and Temi Hospital GOS.
The Programme commenced with offering khada to the Doctors followed by a welcome speech by Shri B.B.Rai, Vice-President of the Society.
Shri C.K.Rai Joint Registrar Cooperation Deptt Rabong Sub-Division highlighted the importance and main Motto behind organizing the Health Camp for the welfare of the Community.
More than 250 patients from Temi Tea Garden, Temi GPU, Tarku GPU and Damthang GPU benefitted from free consultation and medicines provided during the Camp.The Camp Team also identified 12 Patients requiring Cataract operations who will be provided free surgery at Siliguri.
The initiative received overwhelming appreciation from the public who expressed gratitude towards the Cooperative Society for conducting such a benevolent and socially impactful programme.
The event concluded with a short valedictory program where Shri P.Pradhan, Additional Registrar,Namchi District delivered the Vote of thanks appreciating the efforts of organizing Society, Collaborating Hospitals and all participants for making the programme a grand success.
