Guwahati, August 17: A Seven day long Regional Process Lab for the AADI KARMAYOGI ABHIYAN was held at Guwahati from 11th Aug to 17th Aug 2025 for the officers from the state of Sikkim,Assam,Mizoram and Nagaland.The lab brought together officials from the Social Welfare Department,Women Child, Senior citizen and Divyangjan Welfare Department, Rural Development Department, Education Department, Health and Family Welfare Department and Forest Department. The program was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister, Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Assam, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, in presence of Smt. L. Sweety Changsen , ACS, Department of Tribal Affairs (plain)Government of Assam , Mrs. Binita Pegu, Secretary Tribal Affairs Department (Hills), Ms. Debolina Thakur, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
The Regional Process Lab was designed to facilitate a collaborative and immersive learning experience for the participating officers. The program aimed to equip the officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive positive change in their respective domains and contribute to the overall development of tribal in their respective state.
The lab featured a range of interactive sessions, workshops, group discussions, group activities and presentations. The participants also shared their experiences and best practices of their respective state.
The AADI KARMAYOGI ABHIYAN is a flagship program of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India aimed at building a cadre of 2 million trained grassroots change leaders to deliver last mile governance and development across 1 lakh+ tribal villages of the country. The program had been implemented in collaboration with the Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF).
The Regional Process Lab was a significant step towards achieving the objectives of the program and the participating officers are expected to play a key role as STATE MASTER TRAINERS in driving positive change in their respective states.
These eight STATE MASTER TRAINERS are trained to impart training at the District level and Block level and thus are the Imperative resource towards creating DMTs and BMTs for the successful execution of the AADI KARMMAYOGI ABHIYAN which is a part of Broader view of Vikshit Bharat 2047.
The Lab’s conclusion, marks a significant step towards achieving the objectives of the program. It is also a testament to the commitment of the participating states and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs towards improving governance and driving development. The outcomes of the Lab are expected to have a positive impact on the administration and delivery of services to the tribal people in SIKKIM, ASSAM, MIZORAM and NAGALAND.
The lab ended with felicitation of participants by Mrs. Binita Pegu, Secretary Tribal Affairs Department(Hills)Government of Assam.
