Raksha Bandhan Celebration 2025 Organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with Sikkim Government College, Rhenock

Sikkim Government College, Rhenock had the privilege of hosting a heart warming Rakhi Celebration in collaboration with the Indian Army on 7th August 2025. The event was marked by a spirit of gratitude, unity, and respect as students and faculty members tied Rakhi to the army personnel, honouring their selfless service and dedication to the nation.
The celebration was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Principal Dr. Shobha Sharma, Dr. Chhunu Maya Giri, Dean of Student's Welfare, Mr. Dilli Ram Adhikari ADM and Faculty members of Sikkim Government College, Rhenock.
The ceremony began with a brief welcome address followed by the Rakhi tying ritual, where students expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the soldiers. Faculty members also actively participated, fostering a warm and respectful exchange between the academic and defence communities.
This initiative not only celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan but also strengthened the emotional bond between the citizens and the guardians of the nation. The college extends its sincere thanks to the Indian Army for their gracious presence and hopes to continue such meaningful engagements in the future.
