Gangtok, July 23, 2025:
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Sikkim organized a comprehensive training programme for Electoral Registration Officer (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Office (AEROs) from all districts of the state. The training was conducted in two batches to ensure focused and effective participation:
1. 21st July, 2025 at SIRD, Karfectar, Jorethang- for participants from Gyalshing,
Soreng, Namchi.
2. 23rd July, 2025 at Office of the Chief Electoral Officer -for participants from
Gangtok, Pakyong and Mangan.
The session was chaired by Ms. Pema Lhaden Lama, Additional Chief Electoral Officer.
The primary objective of the training was to enhance their skills and knowledge in
electoral processes and to strengthen their understanding of ERONET, voter
registration protocols, form processing and accurate implementation of electoral
guidelines, rationalization of polling station and Special Intensive Revision.
The training sessions were led by Shri Zangpo Gyaltsen, Joint Director (IT) a National Level Master Trainer (NLMT), who provided in-depth insights into the technical and operational aspects of the electoral process.
The training concluded with certification process for all participating Electoral
Registration Officer (ERO) and Assistant Electoral Registration Office (AERO). This
marked a significant step toward ensuring well-preparedness for the upcoming revision of Electoral Roll in the State.
