Successful Completion of Phase-1 Handover under CSSTDS Scheme in Sikkim
The Power Department, Government of Sikkim is pleased to announce the successful handing/taking over of 24 key infrastructure elements under Phase-1 of the Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening of Transmission and Distribution System (CSSTDS). The project has been executed by POWERGRID on behalf of the department to strengthen the state’s transmission and distribution network and improve power reliability across Sikkim.
The formal program to mark this milestone was chaired by Hon’ble Advisor cum Area MLA Shri Sanjeet Kharel, who commended the efforts of all stakeholders involved in ensuring the timely and quality completion of the project.
On this occasion, the Power Department also extended a warm welcome to the Chairman, NHPC Coordinator, and OSD – Power Department, whose presence further underscored the collaborative spirit between central and state agencies in advancing the power sector in the region.
The event witnessed the participation of senior officials from POWERGRID and the Power Department, reaffirming their shared vision to provide efficient and sustainable power infrastructure in the state.
The program concluded with a gala dinner, symbolizing not only the successful culmination of the Phase-1 handover but also a renewed commitment toward continued progress, cooperation, and excellence in the energy sector.
