Chief Minister’s Mentorship Program for Fostering Institutional Excellence
Namchi, 14 July :
The Chief Minister’s Mentorship Program, a forward-looking initiative aimed at enhancing educational leadership, was successfully organised by the Education Department in collaboration with the Katalytic Charter Educational Foundation.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Deputy Speaker Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Hon’ble MLA cum Chairman DACS Shri Satish Chandra Rai, DC Namchi Ms Anupa Tamling, and officials from the Education Department. Also present were Advisor of the Department of Panchayati Raj cum Vice President Incharge Nari Shakti Smt. Rama Tamang, and OSD to Hon’ble MLA cum District President Shri SJ Lepcha.
The session commenced with a welcome address by the Chief Education Officer, followed by the keynote address delivered by Director of the Katalytic Charter Educational Foundation Miss Kunzang Choeki Bhutia outlining the objectives and scope of the mentorship initiative.
DC Ms Tamling shared her thoughts on the significance of nurturing educational leadership, followed by a comprehensive address by Hon’ble MLA cum Chairman DACS Shri Satish Chandra Rai, who emphasized the role of mentorship in fostering institutional excellence.
The event saw the presence of heads from various schools, who actively participated in the workshop.
The Chief Guest, by Hon’ble Deputy Speaker Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, in her address acknowleded the importance of such mentorship programs in shaping the future of education in the state.
The program hosted by Ms Angela Bhutia, Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha concluded with a formal vote of thanks by the Additional Director, Education Department.
Following the ceremonial proceedings, a training session for school heads was conducted as part of the program’s objectives to empower and equip school leaders with enhanced managerial and pedagogical skills.
