211th Bhanu Jayanti Celebration held grandly in Yangangang
21st Bhanu Jayanti Celebration organized by Bhaledunga Literary Forum, Yangangang, Namchi District, concluded in a grand and emotional atmosphere at Yangangang School Auditorium on Shrawan 28, 2079.
The program was started with a tribute and condolence proposal to Sikkim's literature Shiromani, Padmashree Sanu Lama who passed away. Although the ceremony that started with mourning turned into a celebration of literature, language and consciousness.
Chief Guest Sahitya Academy Awardee Mr. Yuva Baral and special guest and chairman Mrs. Rajkumari Thapa's dignified presence made the program more meaningful. Political Advisor Mr. Bikash Basnet, President of Food Processing Department Mr. C. as special guest. L. Gurung, OSD dwy Mrs. Denkila Bhutia and Mr. Sanbahadur Rai, SDM Mr. K. L. Dahal, BDO Mrs. Nide Bhutia, Chief Account Officer Mr. B. B. Subba, Deputy Director Mr. Anil Rai, Language Committee President Mr. P. L. There was a remarkable presence of Dangol, principals of various schools, CLC president, panchayat representatives, teachers, parents, students and literature lovers.
The function shed a special light on the life and works of Adipoet Bhanubhakta Acharya. It was remembered that Anudit Ramayana, especially in Nepali language raised awareness about language and culture in the Nepali people.
In the main attractions of the program were the poetry competition, open poetry reading, Ramayana recitation competition, and language-literature conservation.
The play 'It is our right to read' presented by school students left an emotional impact on the program empowering the voices of children. Keynote speaker Mr. Hemlal Tiwari 'Lising' presented deep views on the literary contribution of Bhanubhakta and the situation and possibilities of Nepali language at present.
At the conclusion of the program, the Language Committee General Secretary concluded the ceremony with thanksgiving. Overall, this function has clear indicated taking Sikkim's rich literary tradition to new heights, not just literary programs but also a common campaign of language, culture and social awareness.
