Gyalshing District conducts Mindfulness Training
Gyalshing,July12:
In a training programme organised by the state Education Department in collaboration with Heartfulness Education Trust, Hyderabad,168 teachers of Gyalshing District were trained on Mindfulness, for three days from 9th to 11th July 2025, at the auditorium of PM Shri Gyalshing GSSS.
The team of Resource Persons included Ms Sonali Tanna and Ms Shital Shanghavi from Kolkata, supported by AD, Hee Martam Mr Kunzang Dorji Bhutia,Teacher, KGBV Ms Rinzing Ongmu Bhutia,Teacher, PM Shri Pelling SSS Mr Rohit Sharma,and Coordinator, HET, Sikkim Ms Manisha Sharma.
During the inaugural Ceremony, graced by Chief Education Officer(CEO)Gyalshing Mr PG Bhutia, the participants were encouraged to take full advantage of the opportunity to enrich themselves as effective teachers.
The CEO thanked the Department for this important training and motivated the participants to make a difference in the lives of their students. He also conveyed the message of encouragement sent by The Director (School education).
Citing the example as to why snakes shed their skin, Joint Director Mr Rajesh Thapa hinted that similar to the snake who gets rid of the hard skin with infections and injuries to have a new healthy skin, trainings help teachers to get a fresh outlook and to enhance their effectiveness.
The programme was a beautiful mix of meditation, group works and brain-storming sessions, ably conducted by the trained Resource Persons.
The valedictory session was again graced by the CEO, who congratulated the participants for successfully completing the Certificate Course.
