Tripartite MoU Signed to Establish Artisan Training Centre at CCCT
8th July, 2025:
A Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Centre for Computers and Communication Technology(CCCT), Chisopani, Government Polytechnic, Namchi district; Department of Commerce & Industry (C&I), Government of Sikkim; and BOSCH India Foundation at Udyog Bhawan, Gangtok.
The MoU aims to establish an Artisan Training Centre (ATC) at CCCT to skill local youth, including school and college dropouts in home-appliance maintenance and repair, promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship. The training will be practical, industry-aligned and completely free of charge.
BOSCH India Foundation will provide equipment, curriculum support and training resources. The Department of Commerce & Industry will facilitate access to government schemes, while CCCT will host the ATC as a Centre of Excellence, offering infrastructure and operational support.
The MoU was signed by Ms. Sakina Baker (Bosch India Foundation), Ms. Choden Gyatso and Mr. M. Ravikumar (Commerce & Industry Dept) and Mr. Deepak Rasaily (Principal, CCCT), in the presence of Mr. Praveen Parihar (Bosch) and Mr. Shirshak Gurung (CCCT).
This collaboration marks a significant step toward empowering youth and advancing skill-based education in Sikkim.
