In spirit of unity and community, the District Government Paramedical (Allied & Health Care Professionals) Association, District Hospital Singtam, celebrated 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 on July 8. The event honored the selfless contributions of paramedics and frontline health workers who act as vital connectors between patients and the healthcare system.
The program was graced by Dr. Ashok Rai, Director/Chief Medical Officer of Gangtok District, and Dr. Bishal Pradhan, Deputy Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Singtam. The celebration commenced with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony, followed by an inspiring address by the CMO, who emphasized the importance of solidarity and collaboration in delivering effective healthcare.
To mark the occasion, a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 was organized for the public, where a range of services was provided:
𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 177 individuals
𝗡𝗖𝗗 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 177 individuals screened
𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (RBS & Hb): 181 tests conducted
𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴: 15 individuals tested
𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁 (𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀): 44 beneficiaries
𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (HTN & Diabetes medications): 19 patients served
𝗖𝘆-𝗧𝗕 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 23 samples collected
𝗜𝗘𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 & 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 80 individuals reached
𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: 10 successful procedures

𝗡𝗶𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮 (𝗧𝗕 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻): 2 cases adopted
A special token of appreciation was presented to Dr. Mayel Lepcha, Eye Specialist, for his exemplary service and successful conduct of cataract surgeries during the camp.
The event reinforced the theme “Unity and Community” by bringing together healthcare professionals, patients, and community members in a collective effort to promote wellness, prevention, and care. The District Hospital Singtam remains committed to strengthening healthcare services through inclusive and collaborative initiatives.
