On 05 and 06 July 2025, the Acting Inspector General of Frontier Headquarters, Sashastra Seema Bal, Siliguri, Mr AKC Singh conducted a two-day visit and inspection of the 72nd Battalion, Yuksam.
On the first day, 05 July, Mr Singh visited the Battalion Headquarters at Yuksam, where he appreciated the functioning of the force, its duties, discipline, moral values, and dedicated service in the border areas. He encouraged the personnel and interacted with them to understand their issues and requirements, assuring all possible support for their welfare.
On the second day, 06 July, Mr Singh visited D-Company, Border Outpost Nambu, and inspected the post. On this occasion, a Sainik Sammelan (troop meeting) was organized, during which he addressed the personnel and highlighted the importance of discipline, duty, and dedicated service in the border areas.
During the two-day visit, Mr Singh interacted with officers and jawans, reviewed their working conditions and the geographical challenges faced by them, and lauded their committed service and role in ensuring border security.
This two-day visit proved to be not only a morale booster for the personnel but also a source of organizational efficiency and inspiration.
