Connect Earth – Sweat Contribution” Activity 5th July 2025
Pakyong, July 05:
The Connect Earth – Sweat Contribution activity” initiative, programme of the Education Department under the Block Administrative Centre (BAC) Pakyong, continued its impactful journey with a cleanliness drive conducted at Government Junior High School (JHS), Pakyong on 5th July 2025.
Although the school remains closed for summer vacation, the spirit of service and responsibility did not take a break. Demonstrating unwavering commitment to the cause, the BAC staff , schools non teaching staff and office staff, under the supervision of Mr. H. N. Shenga, Deputy Director, Education Department, participated in the drive. The activity focused on campus-wide cleaning, proper waste disposal, and restoring sanitation facilities, reflecting the department’s consistent emphasis on sustainable and hygienic educational spaces.
The “Connect Earth” campaign promotes the idea that meaningful environmental change begins with local action. By involving officials, school staff, and community members in hands-on efforts, the programme seeks to embed a culture of collective responsibility and civic participation. Through regular Saturday engagements, it transforms routine maintenance into a movement of mindful stewardship.
This particular drive at Government JHS Pakyong holds added significance—it exemplifies that the commitment to environmental values extends beyond academic schedules. The presence of administrative staff of the school during the holiday period underscores the programme’s deeper intent: that service to the environment is not an obligation, but a conscious choice.
The drive concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among participants, reaffirming that real transformation is possible when individuals come together with sincerity and shared intent. The Connect Earth initiative continues to serve as a model of how government institutions can lead by example in fostering resilient and responsible communities.
