DISTRICT HOSPITAL NAMCHI CELEBRATED NATIONAL DOCTOR'S DAY AT TOWN HALL NAMCHI ON 3rd JULY 2025
Namchi, 4th July 2025 :
District Hospital Namchi celebrated National Doctor's Day at the Town Hall, Namchi, under the theme “Behind the Mask, Caring for the Caregivers” on 3rd July.
The event honored the selfless dedication and service of doctors and healthcare professionals.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Hon’ble Area MLA Shri Satish Chandra Rai. He was joined by NMC Chairman Shri Ganesh Rai, Shri S.J. Lepcha, District President of the SKM Party; Smt. Roma Tamang, Nari Shakti President; and Smt. Samika Tamang Chettri, Nari Convenor.
Also in attendance were DC Anupa Tamling, ADC, SDM HQ, Adl SP, CMO Dr. S.N. Adhikari, DMS Dr Raju Singh, Specialists, Medical Officers, HODs from various line departments under Namchi District and DNS, ANS, Departmental incharges, sisters alied-healthcare staffs and all staffs from District Hospital Namchi.
The celebration included a felicitation ceremony, where hardworking and respected doctors were presented with Letters of Appreciation. Dr. Urgen Sherpa, Principal Chief Consultant and Dr. Ashim Basnet GDMO were specially recognized for their outstanding service in public health and medical care.
A vibrant dance competition featuring the staff of District Hospital Namchi added a celebratory note to the program.
The Chief Guest extended heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to the welfare of the public.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and mementos to participants and stakeholders.
