Namchi, 2 July:
Awareness cum Distribution of 249 numbers of micro irrigation sprinkler (MI) sets to the farmers of Namphing GPU cluster was successfully completed today by Agriculture Department, Namchi District under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY-PDMC) – "Per Drop More Crop" scheme for (Phase III, 2024-25) at the premises of Namphing GPK. 6 (six) sets of ten thousand litres community tanks under Other Intervention (OI) also been allotted to the Water User Committee of this cluster.
The event was graced by Hon’ble MLA of Temi Namphing cum Advisor of Directorate of Sikkim State Lotteries, Excise department, Shri B S Panth; Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Shri Madan Kr Bajgai; Hon’ble Panchayat President Shri Arpan Subba, Panchayat Members; BDO Shri Roshan Rai, Additional Director Smt Nirmala Moktan Deputy Director, ADO, HDO, JEs, Agriculture Staffs and progressive farmers of Namphing Cluster.
Similarly, Hon’ble area MLA of Namthang Rateypani Shri Sanjit Kharel Sir also attended Agriculture Department’s PMKSY- PDMC programme couple of days back with Zilla and Panchayat members at Chuba Phongla cluster benefitting 336 number of eligible beneficiaries with MI sets.
