A Special Health Camp for Children was organized on June 29, 2025 at Lower Lungzik, Gyalshing District, under the directive of the Sikkim State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR). The camp was sponsored and facilitated by Heena Enterprise Ltd., with a focused aim to promote child health and well-being in the locality. Residents of two GPUs namely Bongten GPU and Sardong Lungzick GPU attended the camp.
The health camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of children and local residents. Basic health check-ups, pediatric consultations, nutritional assessments, and free distribution of essential medicines were conducted during the event. Awareness on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare was also imparted to both children and their guardians.
The camp helped in the early identification of health issues in children and guided families towards appropriate follow-up care.
The Sikkim State Commission for Protection of Child Rights remains firmly committed to the protection, promotion, and fulfillment of child rights, and continues to work in coordination with stakeholders and partners to ensure holistic development and health for every child in the state.
