Gangtok, June 28:
The State Bank of India (SBI) Sikkim organised a mega blood donation camp at MG Marg on June 27, 2025 as part of its 70th Foundation Day celebrations of SBI this year and 219 years of the continuation of the Bank's legacy from it's forbears, the 3 presidency banks of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay.
The camp witnessed active participation of employees from across various SBI branches in the Gangtok region with their families and people at large, voluntarily donating blood for a noble cause of saving lives were 100 units of blood donations made at the camp. All the donors were highly motivated to participate in this noble cause.
“The initiative reflected the SBI’s deep commitment not only to financial inclusion but also to its social responsibilities. Through acts of community service like these, the SBI continues to strengthen its bond with the people it serves. By facilitating voluntary blood donation, the bank is not only helping save lives but also reinforcing its role as a compassionate and responsible corporate citizen,” the SBI stated in a release.
A blood Donation Camp was held with the support of Sikkim State Blood Transfusion Council and STNM hospital Gangtok.
