Gyalshing,June 27:
As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), an Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp was successfully conducted today at Singyang Chumbung Gram Panchayat Unit (GPU) under Gyalshing Block, organised by the Office of the Block Development Officer, Gyalshing.
The programme was chaired by the Block Development Officer (BDO), Gyalshing, Mr Garap Dorjee Bhutia, and was attended by Additional Director Agriculture & Horticulture Deptt Gyalshing Mr Karma Sharpa,Panchayat President,Panchayat Members, Assistant Director (Panchayati Raj Institutions) Singyang Chumbung, Assistant Director (DESME) Gyalshing, Assistant Development Officer (Agriculture)Gyalshing, Supervisor (ICDS) Gyalshing, Women & Child Welfare Department, along with officials from the Block Administrative Centre (BAC), Gyalshing, and staff of Singyang Chumbung GPU.
The programme commenced with a welcome address and introductory briefing by Assistant Director, Mr Tshering Nedup Bhutia, who formally welcomed the dignitaries and outlined the core objectives of the campaign.
In his address, the BDO highlighted that the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan is a key initiative to facilitate participatory rural development and the holistic upliftment of tribal communities, focusing on effective last-mile delivery of government schemes and services.
The camp also witnessed active support from Muyal Liang Trust (NGO), which contributed through voluntary assistance and provision of event materials including banners and promotional flexes.
Multiple departments participated in the camp, including:
Department of DESME, Gyalshing,
Food and Civil Supplies Department,
Health Department (Ayushman Bharat),
Department of Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) Welfare, and Departments of Agriculture and Horticulture.
A total of 230 beneficiaries were recorded, who availed services and assistance under various flagship schemes and entitlements, including:
Aadhaar Enrolment,
Ayushman Bharat (Health Card),
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana,
PM Matru Vandana Yojana,
Ration Card Services,
Issuance of Caste Certificates,and
MGNREGA Job Card Registration.
In addition, a selfie point was established as part of the campaign's community engagement effort, aimed at enhancing public awareness and promoting participatory involvement.
The camp concluded with the distribution of various official documents and welfare entitlements by the BDO and accompanying officials, including Job Cards, Caste Certificates, and notably, Golden Cards under the ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) Scheme, thereby extending essential healthcare access to eligible beneficiaries.
