𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀.
Singtam, June 26, 2025:
The IEC Cell of District Hospital Singtam, in collaboration with the State Entomological Team and Singtam Nagar Panchayat, carried out an intensive anti-dengue awareness and surveillance drive around Singtam Bazaar.
The key objectives of the activity were to raise public awareness about dengue fever, educate the community on preventive measures, and conduct a source reduction survey to identify and eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
Activities included:
Door-to-door awareness campaigns on dengue transmission and symptoms.
Demonstration of preventive practices such as covering water containers and avoiding stagnant water.
Source reduction efforts, including identification and destruction of mosquito breeding habitats in and around homes and public areas.
The collaborative effort aimed to strengthen community participation in controlling the spread of dengue and to promote a cleaner, safer environment. The local community responded positively and actively participated in the initiative.
