Kabi Tingda, June 25:
The Block Level Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the imposition of Emergency, was observed at Kabi Tingda BAC on 25/6/2025.
The program was graced by Shri Pema Wangyal Bhutia, Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Member of 01 Kabi Rongpa TC as the chief guest.
The Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas also had a gracious presence of Miss Lhakpa Phuti Sherpa, the Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Member 02 Lingchom Tingda TC, Mr Tsewang Phurba Sherpa (Hon’ble Panchayat President Lingchom Tingda Gpu ), Mrs Dowden Lepcha (Hon’ble Panchayat President ,01 Kabi Rongpa) Mrs Zigmeela Bhutia (Hon’ble Panchayat President 05 Navey Shotak), Mrs Diki Sherpa ( Hon’ble V.President, 22 Kyongnosla), Mr. Phu Tsh. Lepcha (Hon’ble Vice President Lingdok Namphong), Chungla Lepcha (Honble Panchayat Member), Kezong Lepcha(Honble Panchayat Members), Pema Lhamu Sherpa(Honble Panchayat Member), Mrs. Zongmoo Lepcha(Honble Panchayat Member), Pempa Tshering Bhutia(Honble Panchayat Member), Chultem Bhutia(Honble Panchayat Member),Pema Ongchen Lepcha(Honble Panchayat Members),Phutty Lepcha (Honble Panchayat Member), Chewang Doma Lepcha(Honble Panchayat Member), Mr Mingma T. Bhutia (Honble Panchayat Member), Nim Tempa Sherpa (Honble Panchayat Member), Katuk Lepcha (Honble Panchayat Member) followed by Block Development officer ( Kabi Tingda BAC) Assistant Engineer ( Kabi Tinda BAC) Assistant Education Officer ( Kabi Tindga BAC) BPM & APM ( SRLM), Panchayat Inspector, Asst. Programmer, and staff of Kabi Tindga BAC.
The program started with welcome address by Pempa Lhamu Sherpa followed by offering to Khada to the Chief Guest, by Shri Tashi Wangyal Bhutia, BDO KabiTingda.
Mr Tashi Wangyal Bhutia, BDO Kabi Tingda, provided a brief overview of the significance of the day through Power Point Presentation and video message to the august gathering. He apprised the gathering that it is was on the 25th June 1975 an emergency declared and lasted for 22 months where all fundamental rights of citizen were curtailed and people had to face hardship. Further while interacting with the Hon’ble Zilla Panchcayat Members and Hon’ble Panchayat Members BDO Kabi Tindga urged the gathering to give utmost respect to the Constitution of India.
The house paid homage to all leaders and the general public who stood tall and fought against forceful imposition of Emergency.
The program ended with vote of thanks proposed by Pempa Lhamu Sherpa.
