Namchi District Intensifies TB Mukt Campaign with Comprehensive Screening Drive.
Namchi, June 24, 2025- :The TB Mukt campaign, launched on 2nd June 2025 in Namchi District, is making significant progress in the fight against Tuberculosis. The campaign began with the screening of vulnerable population at Maniram Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) and has since expanded rapidly across the District.
As of today, 18 Nikshay Shivir has been organized, bringing essentital TB diagnostic services directly to the community. The campaign provides free CyTB tests and mobile X-Ray services at the doorstep, ensuring early and timely intervention. Individual who test positive on the CyTB test are offered TB Preventive Therapy (TPT) after ruling out active TB disease.
The Namchi District TB Centre has announced plans to scale up the campaign further, aiming to cover all vulnerable populations across the 40 Health & Wellness Centers in the district. This intensified effort reflects the District’s strong commitment to eliminating Tuberculosis and protecting the health of its residents.
District health officials have urged the public to actively participate in the ongoing campaign and avail themselves of the free services offered. The TB Mukt Namchi initiative stands a model of proactive health care delivery, demonstrating the power of early detection and prevention in combating Tuberculosis.
