72nd Battalion SSB, Yuksam organises Awareness Workshop and Rally under “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan”
Gyalshing,June 23:
Under the able leadership and guidance of the Commandant, 72nd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal, Yuksam, an impactful awareness workshop and rally was successfully organised today at Eklavya Model Residential School, Gangyap (Yuksam) as part of the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” (Drug-Free India Campaign).
The objective of this campaign was to make students and youth aware of the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug addiction and to inspire them towards building a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free society.
The programme began with a workshop held in the school premises, where senior officers of the SSB delivered powerful and inspiring speeches. The speakers provided solid information, real-life examples, and discussed the harmful effects of drug addiction on individuals and society at large.
Following the workshop, a vibrant and energetic awareness rally was carried out in the school campus and surrounding streets. The slogans like “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” and “Healthy Youth, Empowered Nation” echoed in the air, spreading a strong message. Personnel of the 72nd Battalion participated in the rally with great enthusiasm along with teachers and students of the school.
This initiative reflects the socially responsible and aware role of the 72nd Battalion. The battalion is not only guarding the borders but also playing a leading role in bringing positive change within society. This effort serves as a motivational message for youth to actively participate in nation-building.
