Awareness Program for Value Chain Partners Under National Mission on Edible Oils- Oilseeds (Soybean) in collaboration with FPOs of MOVCD-NER
Mangan, June 20: The Agriculture Department, Mangan District, in collaboration with FPOs of MOVCD-NER, organized a one-day awareness program for Ringhim Singhik FPO Cooperative Society. ATMA Mangan provided technical support for the initiative.
The program commenced with the offering of khadas to Panchayat members from Blu Tungbuk Mrs Doma Lepcha and Kazor ward Mrs Pemkit Lepcha. Mr. Pranit Gurung, Deputy Director, Mangan District, delivered the welcome speech.

- Miss Thendal Zangmu Lepcha, ADO Kabi cum Chungthang, discussed the package of practices for soybean cultivation.
- Mr. Adarsh Rai, ADO Dzongu cum Mangan, elaborated on Integrated Pest and Disease Management for Soybean.
- Mr. Pranit Gurung conducted hands-on training on tetra bags for vermicompost and knapsack sprayer usage.

- Mrs. Eden Lepcha, FPO President, shared insights on FPO operations, shareholders, and audit systems.
- Mrs. Doma Lepcha, Blu Tungbuk Panchayat, expressed gratitude for timely seed distribution and encouraged farmers to utilize barren lands.
Mr. Mayal Lepcha, Krishi Sewak, delivered the vote of thanks. Mrs. Bimla Subba, Agriculture Inspector, hosted the event.
