Mass Cleanliness Drive Conducted at DAC Namchi
Namchi, 19 June :
A comprehensive cleanliness drive was organized at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Namchi, under the leadership of the District Collector, Ms. Anupa Tamling.
The initiative witnessed the active participation of key dignitaries including the Superintendent of Police (South), Mr. Karma Gyamtso Bhutia, and the Honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly (Namchi-Singithang Constituency), Mr. Satish Chandra Rai.
All employees of the District Administrative Centre, along with officers from various line departments stationed at the DAC, took part in this collective effort. The drive included the thorough cleaning of the entire DAC premises, and as part of the initiative to enhance the green cover, saplings were also planted within the compound.
This cleanliness drive was held in conjunction with the Dharti Aabha Abhiyan, a district-wide campaign aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and sustainable practices. The event also formed a part of the ongoing 15-day Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) programme under DA-JUGA, further emphasizing the commitment of the district administration towards environmental sustainability and civic responsibility.
The event exemplified community-driven governance and reflected the collective spirit of the administration in fostering a cleaner and greener environment for all.
