Official inspection/Visit and Induction of New Officer-in-Charge at One Stop Centre, Pakyong
The One Stop Centre (OSC), Pakyong, under the Women, Child, Senior Citizen, and Divyangjan Welfare Department, had the honour of hosting an official visit by key dignitaries from the Pakyong District Administration on 17th June 2025.
The visit/inspection marked a significant step in strengthening the Centre's functioning and service delivery through the formal induction of the new Officer-in-Charge, Mr. Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, Additional District Collector, Pakyong.
The inspection was headed by Mr. Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, Additional District Collector (ADC), Pakyong, accompanied by Mr. M.L. Pradhan, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Pakyong, and Mrs. Dikit
Lepcha, Deputy Director cum Social Welfare Officer, WCSDCWD. They were formally introduced to the Centre's operations and objectives and the importance of inter-departmental coordination in ensuring
the safety and well-being of women in distress.
The Centre Administrator, along with the staff of OSC, shared updates on case management, outreach activities, and infrastructure needs. The current space allocated for the functioning of the Centre in a private residential building has constrained the space for proper running of the centre, which was pointed out by the OSC staff. Further, the need for more workforce at OSC Pakyong was also highlighted.
ADC Sir emphasized the importance of continuing service with dedication, compassion, and confidentiality, and assured full administrative support to further strengthen the Centre.
Key outcomes from the inspection/visit included positive discussions on capacity-building, encouragement of staff morale, and constructive suggestions towards infrastructural improvement.
The OSC team remains committed to its core mission of providing integrated support and assistance to women affected by violence and extends sincere gratitude to all dignitaries for their time, guidance, and
vision.
