Three-day yoga session commenced today at Yangang as part of the countdown to International Yoga Day. Organized by the Yangang Tourism Development Committee, the initiative aims to promote physical and mental well-being while celebrating the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the state. The inaugural session was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including the Honourable Deputy Speaker of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Smt Raj Kumari Thapa, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shri KL Dahal, President (Panchayat Cell) Shri CL Gurung and the public of Yangang underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering a culture of wellness. Mr. Kamal Gautam who has done Masters in Yogic Science and is an expert of this field is leading the sessions, guiding participants through various yogic practices and philosophies. This initiative aligns with the vision of the Honourable Chief Minister, who has consistently advocated for holistic development by integrating tradition with progress. The event serves not only as a platform for promoting healthy living but also as a reflection of Sikkim’s growing stature as a hub for wellness and sustainable tourism.
