VKSA campaign held at Sikkip block in Namchi District
Namchi, 10 June :
The 10th day of VKSA (Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan) Campaign was successfully conducted at Sikkip Block in Namchi District.
The event witnessed the active participation of the Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat members and local Panchayats.
The VKSA is a dynamic campaign to promote climate resilient, region-specific agricultural technologies bringing technical expertise and advisory support directly to farmers doorstep.
Launched by Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare & Rural Development Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan the campaign is an important step towards transforming Indian agriculture.
The campaign not only raises awareness about various government schemes but also enables real-time feedback from farmers through extensive field-level interaction.
The programme is driven by multidisciplinary teams of grassroots-level workers, departmental officials, agricultural scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), ICAR institutes and various State Departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Fisheries, and ATMA.
These teams are collectively working to promote modern agricultural practices that aims to enhance productivity and farmers’ income.
The event at Sikkip Block marks yet another successful milestone in the VKSA’s nationwide effort to build a resilient and prosperous agricultural sector.
