Cooperation Department presents dividend to the State Government
Highlighting the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, the Cooperation Department presented dividend cheques amounting to Rs. 1,30,41,500/- to the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang(Golay) today.
The dividend presented to the Government is for the Government share participation in these cooperatives. Rs. 1,29,99,000/- was contributed by the Sikkim State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. (SIMFED), Rs. 22,500/- was contributed by West Pendam MPCS and Rs.20,000/- was contributed by Dentam MPCS. The cheques were handed over by the Chairman SIMFED, Secretary, Cooperation Department, Principal Registrar, Cooperation Department and Managing Director, SIMFED.
Hon'ble Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the cooperative societies in strengthening the cooperative sector and contributing to the socio-economy of the State. He enquired about the activities of the societies and discussed ways and means to revitalize the cooperative ecosystem in Sikkim.
