Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan advances in Soreng and Gyalshing District of Sikkim
Gyalshing,June 2:
The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) is making significant steps in Sikkim's Soreng and Gyalshing districts. On its fourth day, the campaign actively engaged with farmers in the villages of Khechuperi and Timbrong/Rimbi under Gyalshing District, as well as Chakung and Chumbong under Soreng District.
Spearheaded by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Gyalshing, initiating collaborative efforts, involving departments and research institutions include the ICAR-Gangtok Centre, Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, the National Research Centre for Orchids (NRC Orchid), Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department, together providing farmers various technicality on production of crops and livestock, its managements, know-how on various schemes of departments in presence of Zilla Adakshya Gyalshing Mr Ds Limboo as Chief guest at Khechuperi, Panchayat President Mr Mangal Rai at Rimbi-Timbrong, Panchayat President Ms Karuna Darnal at Chakung, Panchayat President Ms Pramila Gurung at Chumbong and other panchayat members.
