District Hospital Singtam
“MEGA HEALTH CAMP”
Organised by DASSH( Doctors Academic Society of Singtam Hospital) supported by SACS (Sikkim AIDS Control Society) to commemorate the 50 years of Statehood.
A mega health camp was organised today at Sang PHC by DASSH .
The objective of the camp was to benefit the public for the medical/health facilities available at the doorstep and also to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Statehood of Sikkim .
The event was graced by special guests Mr Ugen Tenzing Bhutia (Ward Panchayat , Sang phegyong )

Dr Ashok Rai (Director cum Chief Medical Officer, DHS)
The programme started with a welcome speech by Mrs Bonnysha Gurung
(HEO, Sang PHC)
The special guests were welcomed by Dr Bindya Nepal (Dental Surgeon cum Incharge , Sang PHC)
The members of the DASSH were welcomed by the Ward panchayat with khadas.
BDO Khamdong addressed the gathering extending his welcome and thanking the DASSH for organising such event .
Ward Panchayat in his speech thanked CMO Gangtok for choosing Sang PHC for the event. He also paid his gratitude to all the Doctors for their selfless service to the public of Sang.
The program event began with examination and investigation of the patients.

The mega health camp also had the support of SDM (Sang Rabdang )NGO ( Sang Phegyong WelfaOrganisation) AWW & ASHAs .
The event winded up with an address by Director cum CMO Gangtok District and a vote of thanks .
The total footfall of the patients in the mega camp was 596.
Therefore the health department and DASSH consider this event is a grant success .
