Mangan, May 21: Due to several road blockages/landslides caused by incessant rainfall on the evening and night of 20/5/2025, dozens of Tourists/Commuters travelling along Sangkalang - Phidang (Dikchu) Road had been stranded at Sangkalang,Lower Dzongu. For one night they had been accommodated at Dzongu BAC building and few local houses under the supervision of SDM Dzongu. Today (21/05/2025) a team lead by ADM,(Mangan) along with SDM Dzongu, Deputy Director, DDMA, local Panchayats and other officials managed to send all stranded tourists/commuters towards their respective destinations after the road blockages were cleared by the GREF officials at several locations. The team also visited Taryang Primary School, Dzongu and handed over Tarpaulins to the SMC members for protection of mudslide which had occurred in the school premises on 20/5/2025.
